About the Conference
on Women in SE²TI
The 5th International Conference on Women in Science, Engineering, Economy, Technology, and Innovation (SE²TI), themed “Trailblazer of Tomorrow’s Innovations”, will take place from 9–11 October 2025 in Beijing, China. Co-organized by the International Centre for Engineering Education (ICEE) and the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre (ISTIC) under UNESCO’s auspices, this biennial event aims to celebrate, connect, and empower women leaders in SE²TI fields. Building on the momentum of four previous editions, the conference will serve as a high-impact platform for sharing achievements, strengthening networks, and advocating for inclusive innovation ecosystems.
Motivated by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work), and SDG 9 (innovation), the conference is a call to action for dismantling systemic barriers and promoting inclusive leadership. By fostering collaboration among policymakers, educators, researchers, and industry leaders, SE²TI 2025 seeks to ignite meaningful dialogue and catalyze initiatives that ensure women are not only participants but also pioneers in shaping the future of science, technology, and innovation.
